Governance and Audit Committee
Welsh Government Statutory & non-statutory Guidance on democracy within principal councils - role of the Governance & Audit Committee in respect of the Annual Governance Statement
AGREED to: (i) note the contents of the report; (ii) recommend that the Council retains the Annual Governance Statement as: i.an annual statement on internal control, ii.a tool for reviewing its governance arrangements, iii.for broader corporate improvement, to evaluate strengths and weaknesses in the governance framework and, as part of an annual action plan, take forward agreed changes accordingly; and iv.to report publicly on the extent to which the Council complies with its Governance Framework.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
