Finance and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Corporate Grievance Policy revision
The committee recommended that Elected Members and trade union representatives be reinstated to stage 2 grievance appeal panels. It also recommended changing the policy's wording on occupational health advice from 'consistently say' to 'advised', and that the revised policy be approved subject to these changes.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
Corporate Grievance Policy revision
The Cabinet approved the revised Corporate Grievance Policy. Elected members and trade union representatives will stay on the Stage 2 appeal panels, the second stage of a grievance appeal. The report had proposed removing them.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
