Economy and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Onshore wind and solar energy sites
The committee recommended to Cabinet that the key findings, policy approach and policy recommendations be agreed and included in the Deposit RLDP (the draft plan for formal consultation) planned for late 2024. It also recommended that delegated authority (power for a senior officer to act without a further meeting) be given to the Head of Regulatory Services, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Audit, Policy and Performance, to make minor amendments to the appendices, including site details once agreed.

Renewable energy land and policy for the draft Local Development Plan
Cabinet agreed the key findings, policy approach and policy recommendations on onshore wind and solar energy. These will be included in the draft Replacement Local Development Plan consultation planned for late 2024. Cabinet also gave the Head of Regulatory Services delegated authority to make minor amendments to the appendices, in consultation with the Cabinet Member.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
