RESOLVED- (a) That it be recommended to Council that a 50% Council Tax Premium for both second homes and long-term empty homes be charged from April 2023. (b) That it be recommended to Council that an indicative level of 100% premium on both long-term empty homes and second homes from 1 April 2024 be recommended (subject to review during 2023/2024). RESOLVED- That Council approve the following: (i) To charge a 100% Council Tax Premium for both second homes and long term empty homes from April 2024. (ii) An indicative level of premium of 200% on both categories from 1 April 2025, with the introduction of an increased premium of 300% for long-term empty properties, which have been empty for 5 years or more, subject to review during 2024/2025.
