Final financial outturn for 2023/24
The Cabinet noted the final revenue outturn for 2023/24. It noted a General Fund balance of £2.772m and total reserves and balances of £57.739m, both at 31 March 2024. It approved a transfer of £1.497m from earmarked reserves, which are sums set aside for specific purposes, to general balances. It asked for individual reserves to be reviewed to check they are still needed, and for any that are not to be considered for transfer to general balances.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
