Finance and Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Notice of Motion on closing public toilets
The committee recommended to Cabinet that toilet closures be suspended until statistics on toilet use are provided and a meaningful consultation has been carried out with county councillors and town and community councils. The recommendation goes to Cabinet, which makes the final decision.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
Notice of motion on proposed closure of public toilets
Cabinet did not support the scrutiny committee's recommendation to suspend toilet closures. The Local Toilet Strategy, approved earlier, will continue to go ahead.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
