Economy and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Replacement Local Development Plan: approval for public consultation
The committee recommended that Cabinet recommend to Council that the draft plan be approved for eight weeks of public consultation from September 2025, which is longer than the legal minimum. It also recommended that Council give the Head of Regulatory Services, after consulting the Cabinet Member, power to make changes that are not fundamental, meaning changes that do not alter the core of the plan. It recommended that the plan be laid out as a finished, accessible document before consultation starts.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
