Second homes and holiday lets: planning options
The committee recommended to Cabinet that option 2 be progressed, with annual review of indicators. Option 2 means adding a new policy to the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP), the plan that guides future building, which could later support an Article 4 Direction. The committee also noted the staffing and cost implications, the risks of an Article 4 Direction and the need for more evidence before any such direction.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
Second homes and holiday lets: Article 4 Direction options
Cabinet agreed to progress Option 2: a new policy approach in the Replacement Local Development Plan (RLDP), with a possible Article 4 Direction in future and annual review of indicators. Members noted the staffing and cost implications and the risks of an Article 4 Direction, and the need for evidence on other policy approaches.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
