The Planning Committee considered seven planning applications on 14 August 2024. Members agreed to be minded to grant permission for a phone mast, a youth centre roof, a digital sign, new floodlights and the detailed design of new homes in Colwyn Bay. Being minded to grant means members agree in principle, and officers make the final decision. They deferred a holiday pod application on a farm to October and, against officer advice, reaffirmed their support for temporary pavilions at the White Lion Inn.
No appointment of Chair for the meeting was necessary as the elected Chair was in attendance.
Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Anthony Bertola, Trystan Lewis, Ifor Lloyd and Trevor Stott.

Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
