In scrutinising the report, the following was noted: • The collective progress being made on the implementation of the Connecting Care Programme and the Mosaic system in Conwy was welcomed, together with the modernisation and integration of Social Care practice with partners and organisations. • Disappointment was expressed regarding the lack of clarity regarding the future Welsh Government (WG) funding support for the implementation of Mosaic. - Members were advised that a letter had been sent to the WG seeking clarity in respect of funding for 2025/2026 (to include future funding) and that the Leader, relevant Cabinet Members and Senior Leadership Team continued to actively monitor the progress. • Clarity was sought in terms of what contingency plans were in place should Mosaic not be implemented as planned. • The insufficient provision and workforce shortages were highlighted. • In respect of the membership of the Connecting Care Programme Board, representation from the Social Care and Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee was considered necessary. Therefore, it was proposed and seconded that the Chair, be appointed as the representative. Councillors must say when they have a personal link to something being discussed, such as a job, a property or a family member. A prejudicial interest is one strong enough that the councillor usually leaves the room and takes no part.
