Members were required to determine an application for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence (new application) for a Skoda Octavia registered in 2020 (DF70 EYO) and consider whether, in light of the information presented, the application could be granted or refused. The Applicant was also present and addressed the Committee. The following was discussed: • The company had been in operation for 20 years. • The Applicant had not reported a collision with a wall, on the basis that no other vehicle was involved. • Although the vehicle had been taken to the body repair shop, the works had not been completed within the period of suspension. • It was noted that there had been no departure from the usual procedure and that the relevant legislation and policy had been followed. The application had been withdrawn by the applicant.
