The committee noted the content of the Regional Armed Forces Covenant Annual Report 2024 and the progress made. It supported the Council re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant at its meeting on 2 July 2025, subject to a minor amendment to the Covenant document.

RESOLVED: (a) That the content of the Regional Armed Forces Covenant Annual Report 2024 be endorsed, and the progress that has been made during the period, prior to approval by Flintshire County Council in July 2025 be recognised; (b) That it be noted that the Council has recently been re-accredited with the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Gold Award and support the Council’s Armed Forces Champion, Councillor David Evans, in being presented with this award at full Council; and (c) That Cabinet continue to support the Armed Forces Covenant by agreeing to the re-signing …
