Future model for the Flintshire Connects face-to-face service
The Committee supports Option 3 in principle. Option 3 is a 'peripatetic' model, which moves the service between part-time centres and community or 'pop-up' locations. The Committee has concerns about the financial and practical arrangements. A further report addressing these concerns must come back before the change is made. The Committee also noted the council's intention to consult all elected Members on where community surgeries are held.

Flintshire Connects service review and future operating model
Cabinet noted the findings of the public consultation and internal engagement, and considered three options for the service's future. It supported option 3, a peripatetic model that moves between locations, as the preferred model and asked for the changes to start as soon as possible in 2025/26. It agreed the criteria for choosing where new community surgeries will be held, and agreed to consult all elected members on possible locations. It also asked for further consideration of the financial concerns raised by the Corporate Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee.

Flintshire Connects service review and future model
The Committee was satisfied with the explanation it received, so the Cabinet decision can be implemented. It chose option 1 on a recorded vote of five to four, after Councillor Claydon proposed it. A motion from Councillor Ibbotson to refer the matter to full Council was lost.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
