Cost of living and welfare reform update
The Committee supported the ongoing work to manage the impact of welfare reform and the cost of living crisis. It noted the support measures in place from the Welsh Government and the Council. It agreed that the Chair, on behalf of the Committee, would write to the Minister for Works and Pensions asking for consideration to be given to removing the spare room subsidy, known as the bedroom tax.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
