Minimum Revenue Provision policy 2025/26
Cabinet approved the Minimum Revenue Provision (MRP) policy for 2025/26 and recommended it to County Council. The policy spreads repayment over the life of the asset the debt pays for, for Council Fund debt, Housing Revenue Account debt and loans to NEW Homes.

Minimum Revenue Provision - 2025/26 Policy
RESOLVED: (a) That the following be approved for the Council Fund (CF):- • Option 3 (Asset Life Method) be used for the calculation of the MRP in financial year 2025/26 for the balance of outstanding capital expenditure funded from supported borrowing fixed as at 31st March 2017. The calculation will be the ‘annuity’ method over 49 years. • Option 3 (Asset Life Method) be used for the calculation of the MRP in 2025/26 for all capital expenditure funded from supported borrowing from 1st April 2016 onwards. Minimum Revenue Provision policy for 2026/27
Cabinet approved the MRP policy for 2026/27 and recommended it to the County Council. The policy uses the asset life method for council fund and Housing Revenue Account debt. No MRP is charged while loans to NEW Homes are being built.
