Education, Youth & Culture Overview & Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Families First grant recommissioning
The committee supported the recommissioning proposal so that internal and external commissioning can go ahead. It supported officers moving towards a more collaborative and flexible approach that uses the council's own services alongside external providers. It supported three programme outcomes: families have their needs met, get the right help at the right time, and keep strong relationships. It supported upskilling staff across the Families First partnership. It agreed that an annual update report on Families First be added to the forward work programme.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
Families First Grant recommissioning
That the recommissioning proposal be supported and accepted to progress internal and external commissioning; that officers be supported in moving towards a more collaborative and flexible approach; that the Flintshire outcomes for Families First be endorsed; and that the need to upskill staff across the Families First Partnership be supported.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
