Committees, chairs and constitution for 2025/26
Council appointed committees for 2025/26 without the Climate Change Committee, and added a Committee Work Co-ordinating Group whose meetings will be held in public. Members carried the political balance fallback option, which shares committee seats between groups and includes three non-aligned members. Chairs were appointed: Councillor Chris Bithell (Clwyd Pension Fund), Councillor Hilary McGuill (Constitution & Democratic Services), Councillor Rob Davies (Licensing) and Councillor Richard Lloyd (Planning). Council also approved the Constitution, the terms of reference and the make-up of the Appointments Committee, noted the Standards Committee membership, and delegated changes to outside bodies to the Chief Executive.
