Cost of living and welfare reform
The Committee endorsed the ongoing work to manage the impact of welfare reform and the cost-of-living crisis on vulnerable residents, and endorsed the measures being put in place by Welsh Government and the Council. It also agreed that the Chair should write to the Minister for Work and Pensions about concerns over the bedroom tax and its financial impact on tenants and the Council.

RESOLVED: (a) That the ongoing work to manage the impact that welfare reform and the cost-of-living crisis has, and will continue to have, on some of the most vulnerable residents be endorsed; and (b) That the measures being implemented via Welsh Government and the Council to mitigate the impact be endorsed.
