Recommendations on parking outside schools
The committee noted the recommendation that a protocol on parking outside schools be adopted and sent to all schools, and the matrix for ranking schools for enforcement. It noted that all schools should produce a school travel plan, that a panel should review complaints, and that the council will explore vehicle-mounted number plate recognition cameras. It also noted that further work is needed on the five-minute grace period, with a two-school pilot after the protocol is in place.

School parking protocol and priority matrix
The committee supports adopting the protocol for parking outside schools and sending it to all Flintshire schools. It supports exploring vehicle-mounted ANPR cameras, which read number plates, to help council parking enforcement officers. It also supports further work on the five-minute grace period in restricted areas, with a pilot at two schools to follow the protocol.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
