Grass cutting and weed control performance
The committee noted the work of the portfolio in delivering grass cutting across the county, and acknowledged the preparations for the 2025 season. It agreed that complaints about looks and complaints about safety should be recorded separately in future, that better communication channels be explored, and that members talk to their area co-ordinators. It also agreed to hold a workshop for members on wildflowers.

Grass cutting, grounds maintenance and weed control
The Cabinet noted the work of the portfolio on grass cutting and acknowledged preparations for the 2026 season. It supported a public consultation on biodiversity and grassland management, and supported developing a weed control policy after that consultation, following a recommendation from the Environment and Economy Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
