The committee refused the application, contrary to the officers' recommendation, on grounds of excess and visual disturbance. The proposal to approve failed on a recorded vote. The reason given was that the site would add to an excess of touring and static caravan sites, harm the visual quality of the landscape and cause noise disturbance to neighbours, contrary to policies TWR 5 and PCYFF 2 of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Joint Local Development Plan.
