Council Tax premium on second homes and empty homes
The Cabinet agreed to hold a public consultation on raising the premium above 100% and up to 300% for 2023/24. It delegated preparing the consultation pack to the Head of Finance, working with the Head of Legal Services.

Council Tax premium on second homes and long-term empty homes
The Cabinet agreed to recommend to the Full Council on 1 December 2022 that the premium on class B second homes rise from 100% to 150%. It also recommended no discount on class A second homes, and a 100% premium on homes empty for 12 months or more, with no change to either.
