Planning Committee
25 affordable homes on land at Chwilog
The committee refused the application, against the officers' recommendation. The reason given was a lack of need for affordable homes on the part of the site outside the development boundary. Under the cooling-off period, a short pause before the decision takes effect, the application will return to the committee on a later date with a report on the risks.

Members delegated to the Head of Environment Department the power to approve the application, subject to a Section 106 agreement (a legal deal in which the developer pays towards local services) or a unilateral agreement for an education contribution and play equipment on the open space, and to conditions. A proposal to refuse the application fell on a recorded vote, with 6 in favour and 9 against.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
