Autism Plan Task and Finish Group findings
The committee accepted the group's findings. It asked the service to audit staff autism training, then consider a training target, and to encourage councillors to take the Autism Awareness e-module and attend open days to experience the autism bus. It recommended that the committee, jointly with the Cabinet Member for Children and Families, contact the Cabinet Member for Housing and Property to ensure input from the Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Service on new schools and school adaptations for autistic pupils. It asked for an update after a further 12 months, with input from Education and Health.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
