Immersion Education System action plan
The committee accepted the report and noted the observations. It asked the Cabinet Member for Education to lobby the Welsh Government for more funding. It asked the Cabinet Member to consider returning to five days and/or the length of the centre period, with the welfare of pupils in mind. It asked the Cabinet Member to consult further with stakeholders and keep the provision flexible. It thanked everyone involved in immersion, in the language centres and in mainstream schools.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
