Proposal to close Ysgol Y Garreg, Llanfrothen
The Cabinet approved publishing a statutory notice to close Ysgol Y Garreg on 31 August 2026, with Ysgol Cefn Coch as the alternative school from 1 September 2026. A 28-day objection period follows, and objections will be considered before a final decision. Cllr June Jones and the Chief Executive declared personal interests.

The Cabinet gave final confirmation to the proposal to close Ysgol Y Garreg on 31 August 2026 and to denote Ysgol Cefn Coch as the alternative school from 1 September 2026.
