Review of Community Electoral Arrangements
RESOLVED (a) That the report and the forthcoming review be noted. (b) That the establishment of a politically balanced Communities Electoral Review Working Group of seven Members be approved and nominees be agreed at the Annual Meeting on 12 May 2023. (c) That the Working Group be authorised to recommend to Council in July, a finalised Terms of Reference and Size Policy on behalf of the Council and provide periodic updates to Council on progress.

RESOLVED (a) That the progress made by the Communities Electoral Review Working Group in developing the Council Size Policy, be noted. (b) That the revised timetable, as set out in the report, to allow enhanced engagement with all Members and all Pembrokeshire city, town and community councils be noted.

RESOLVED (a) That progress made and engagement undertaken by the Working Group in developing the Council Size Policy, be noted. (b) That the proposed Council Size Policy, as set out in Appendix C, be approved, subject to the below amendments to page 576 of the Agenda: (i) For Community Councils of less than 500 electors, expressions of interest in voluntary mergers will be sought. RESOLVED (a) That the remit of the Member Working Group be extended to consider the Draft Proposals and respond to the consultation on behalf of the County Council by the deadline of 2 September 2024. (b) That all Members be encouraged to consider the Draft Proposals individually, discuss them with their Council(s) (as appropriate) and respond to the consultation accordingly.
