RESOLVED That the Conservative Group retains the Schools and Learning Overview and Scrutiny Committee Chair, relinquishing the Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee Chair. Council then considered the allocation of seats to political groups, as following an increased membership of the Independent Group, it was now entitled to two additional seats on an ordinary Committee, three additional seats on Overview and Scrutiny Committees and one seat on the National Park Authority. Allocation of committee seats to political groups
An amendment to give the Independent Group's extra seat to the Licensing Committee was defeated, 22 votes to 27. Council then gave the Independent Group an extra seat on the Senior Staff Committee, appointed Councillor Vanessa Thomas to it, and noted that Councillor Jacob Williams would step down from that committee. Councillors Jamie Adams and Anji Tinley were named as reserves on the Governance and Audit Committee, and the vacancies on the Licensing Committee and SACRE/SACRVE were left to the next meeting.

The Conservative Group received one extra seat each on the Schools and Learning Overview and Scrutiny Committee and on the Licensing Committee. The schedule of changes was approved. The SACRE vacancy was carried forward.
