RESOLVED That the Notice of Motion be not adopted and that the Option 3 approach be adopted as outlined in the report, because: (a) The Council already adopts a method to set budgets for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects based on capital business cases with acceptable payback thus saving the Council money in terms of a reduction in operational expenditure on energy. (b) That some emissions reduction work is driven by legislation, policy and funding requirements that the Council has to comply with as part of ‘business as usual’.
