Provisional Local Government Settlement 2023-24
RESOLVED a) That the Provisional Local Government Settlement for 2023-24 and its effect on the projected funding gap for 2023-24, be noted. b) That Cabinet determine the consultation response from the Council, to be returned to Welsh Government by 2 February 2023.

Provisional Local Government Settlement 2024-25
Cabinet noted the provisional settlement and its effect on the projected funding gap for 2024-25. It agreed that the council's consultation response should be sent to Welsh Government by 31 January 2024.

Draft 2024-25 council budget, medium-term plan and provisional funding settlement
The Committee scrutinised the draft budget, the medium-term plan and the provisional settlement, and considered the main issues arising. Councillor Michael Stoddart proposed that it was premature to commit to a percentage rise in Council Tax. The Committee then voted 12 to none, with no abstentions, to make no recommendation to Cabinet on the 2024-25 budget or the medium-term plan.

Draft 2024-25 council budget and medium-term plan
The committee noted the outline draft budget for 2024-25, the outline draft medium-term financial plan for 2024-25 to 2027-28 and the provisional local government settlement. It agreed that its comments should go to Cabinet.
