A decision has been made, so the council is no longer taking comments. Approved with conditions.
This application was named on the agenda of Planning Committee on 11 March 2026.
What the committee decided
The minute records that Members were minded to grant conditional planning permission and authorised the Development and Building Control Manager to determine the application under delegation. It does not record a separate vote on the open space payment.
Application received
The council checks the application is complete and gives it a reference number.
Consultation
The council tells neighbours and others, usually with a site notice or letters. Anyone can comment, usually within 21 days.
Decision
Most applications are decided by the council's planning officers. Larger or disputed ones go to the planning committee, where councillors decide in public.
After the decision
If permission is refused, the applicant can appeal to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales. Other people can't appeal, but can comment on an appeal.

One large walnut tree located at the back of the house in the middle of the garden, the customer would like a 2-3m reduction on this to preserve and maintain the tree as it is close to the house but they love the tree. All works keeping to guide line of BS3998:2010. One ash in decline health which is in striking distance of the house and they have chickens and young children and it causes stress that it could blow over, they would like this down to ground level. Multi stem sycamore on the right hand side of the back of the garden is getting very close to the back of the house and again causes stress for the parents as it is close to the young children's bed room. There is a woodland behind so if anything this would be good thinning to allow other species to progress. They would like this felled down to ground level and they would look to re plant some smaller species more fitting so close to the house.
