Brecon Beacons National Park Local Development Plan 2007-2022
Adopted on 17 December 2013. It covers 2007 to 2022.
The plan period ended in 2022. The plan still applies until a new one is adopted, but parts of it may carry less weight when applications are decided.
The authority withdrew its previous draft new plan in 2024, after work was paused over phosphate pollution in rivers. It consulted on a timetable for a new plan in 2025; the Welsh Government's agreement to it hasn't been published.
The main points of the plan on each topic, in plain language. Each point names the policy it comes from and links to the page. They were written automatically from the plan and checked against the words on that page, so read the policy itself before relying on one.
Figures as the plan states them, with the page they're on. Read automatically from the plan and checked against the page's own words.
From the annual monitoring report for 2023-24.
Every October each authority publishes an annual monitoring report, saying how the plan is working: for example, how many homes were built in the year against what the plan expects.
Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park Local Development Plan 2025-2045
The new plan would cover 2025 to 2045.
Setting a timetable Reached in May 2025.
The authority is setting a timetable for writing a new plan, which the Welsh Government has to agree. This is called the delivery agreement, and it says when each consultation will be.
Consulting on a preferred strategy
Sites the plan allocates for development, as it lists them. Having a site allocated means the authority expects it to be built on during the plan period; each one still needs planning permission.
