Social care services at HMP Berwyn prison
The committee thanked officers for the report. It expressed strong disappointment that HMP Berwyn sent no representative, as it had expected. It agreed to send the prison a full list of questions and ask for written answers before the next meeting in mid-February. It agreed that the next scrutiny session with the prison will take place in one year, with a senior prison representative required to attend. It also agreed that future reports should include clear targets and performance measures, and that the item may come back sooner depending on the answers received.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
