Consultation on the future of the Dee Valley Federation of Schools
The Board approved consultation on two options for the federation: Option 1 keeps all three schools as they are, and Option 2 closes Froncysyllte Community Primary School from 31 August 2026, or sooner if pupil numbers fall to zero. It agreed to treat the item as urgent under the council's constitution, and a report on the consultation is due in January 2026.

Proposal to discontinue Froncysyllte Community Primary School
The Board noted the consultation feedback and approved officers moving to a statutory notice to discontinue Froncysyllte Community Primary School from 31 August 2026, or sooner if pupil numbers fall to zero. A further report will go to the Board in June 2026 after the objection period.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
