Shared Prosperity Fund - Change to Project 083 - Wrexham Regional Tennis Centre Transformation Project
RESOLVED – (i) That the recommendations from the Wrexham City and County Borough UK Government Shared Prosperity Fund Stakeholder Group for the amendment to project 083 – Wrexham Tennis Centre Transformation Project be approved. (ii) That this matter is dealt with as an urgent item of business in accordance with Section 5 (Rule 5.8.10(m)) of the Council’s Constitution. Shared Prosperity Fund projects for 2025-26
The Board approved the Stakeholder Group's recommended projects to move forward to funding, subject to due diligence checks, and approved a reserve list. Any spare money from underspends will go to reserve projects in ranking order, in agreement with the Stakeholder Group. The Board delegated decisions on applications under £50,000 to the Chief Officer for Economy and Planning, with the Leader and Deputy Leader, and treated the matter as urgent so funds could be released quickly.
