Recruitment of Independent Member
RESOLVED – (i) That the report be noted and the suggested recruitment process endorsed. (ii) That the Selection Panel shall comprise the Lay Panel Member (James Millard), the Community Council Member (Sonia Benbow-Jones), two independent members (Steve Tilston and Kerry McKay) and one County Borough Member of the Standards Committee. The name of the County Borough Member will be forwarded to the Monitoring Officer. Reason for decisions To ensure the Standards Committee is constituted in accordance with the Council’s Constitution.

(ii) That the specific membership of the Selection Panel for this recruitment process be as follows: Councillor Bryan Apsley Sonia Benbow-Jones Kerry Mackay Stephen Tilston James Millard (iii) That the vacancy be advertised on the Council’s website, LinkedIn and any other social media channels to ensure it is promoted as widely as possible. Reasons for decisions To ensure the Standards Committee is constituted in accordance with the Council’s Constitution.
